Laurey Nevers is originally from the east coast of Canada and has lived for the last 20 years in Lusaka, Zambia. She studied art at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, Canada where she focused on sculpture and painting.

Her current work merges collage with painting and drawing. These painterly textured surfaces and translucent images allude to a moment in time, long gone, forgotten and fragmented but still floating in our collective unconscious just slightly beyond our grasp.

She strives to make visible the intangible, to weave a tapestry from the elusive threads of our memories.
